SBI PO – SELECTION PROCESS
Candidates should be selected in three-round to attain the job in IBPS PO Exam.
Firstly candidates should be given the preliminary test in which they have to be qualified with minimum cut-off marks when candidates qualified the pre-exam then they call for the mains exam after that candidate who clears the Online Written Examination with the qualifying marks are called for the Interview.
Everyone has to compulsorily participate in every round and should get a good score to be promoted to the next round.

SBI PO – SALARY
Basic Pay | Rs.27,620/- (with 4 advance increments) |
1st Increment | Increment of Rs. 980/- for the next 7 years |
2nd Increment | Thereafter, Increment of Rs. 1145/- for the next 2 years |
3rd Increment | Thereafter, Increment of Rs. 1310/- for the next 7 years |
ALLOWANCES
Dearness Allowance (DA) | The DA is calculated based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and is revised every quarter. You can expect your DA to be around 46.9 % of the Basic Pay. However, it will go up or down based on inflation. |
City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) | This is calculated based on your city of posting and ranges between 3 to 4 % of the Basic Pay. |
Leased House Accommodation/House Rent Allowance (HRA) | This too depends upon the city of your posting and can vary from Rs 8000 (in rural areas) to Rs 29,500 (in a city like Mumbai). |
Travel Allowance (TA) | SBI reimburses the travel cost for official travel. |
Medical Insurance | SBI provides 75% insurance for families and 100% for the employee. |
Furniture Allowance | Rs 1,20,000 for the purchase of furniture. |
Loan Benefits | Employees get a discount/ low interests rates on loans. |
Petrol | Rs. 1100 – Rs. 1250 |
SBI PO SYLLABUS – EXAM PATTERN
For Preliminary Examination
- The SBI PO Prelims Exam will have 3 sections:- Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude & English Language.
- There will be no sectional cut-off. However, there will be an overall cut off.
- The Time Duration for the Prelims Exam of SBI PO will be 1 hour.
- Category wise merit list will be drawn based on the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Exam.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

FOR MAINS EXAMINATION
- This Mains paper will have four sections of a total of 200 marks.
- All the questions will be objective in nature.
- The duration of the SBI PO Mains Exam will be 3 hours.
- The objective test will have separate timing for every section.
- There will be no sectional cut off. There will be only an overall cut off.
- A penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect Multiple Choice Question.
- The Descriptive Paper of 50 marks is compulsory to attempt.
