JPSC – Selection Process

Candidates should be selected in three-round to attain the job in JPSC Civil Service.

Firstly candidates should be given the preliminary test in which they have to be qualified with minimum cut-off marks, when candidates are qualified for the pre-exam then they call for the mains exam after that candidates who clear the Online Written Examination with the qualifying marks are called for the Document Verification and Interview.

Everyone has to compulsorily participate in every round and should get a good score to be promoted to the next round.

JPSC – Exam Pattern

For Prelims Examination

• The JPSC Preliminary Exam written Test will be in Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions).
• The Prelims Exam consists of two papers.
• The first paper is General Studies – I for 200 marks and the second paper is General Studies – II is also for 200 marks.
• The total questions in the JPSC Combined Civil Service Preliminary Exam are 200 questions for 400 marks (Each question carries 2 marks).
• The entire JPSC Combined Civil Service Prelims Exam will be held for 4 hours (2 hours – General Studies – I and 2 hours – General Studies -II).
• The JPSC Combined Civil Service Exam Prelims paper will be in both languages i.e., Hindi and English.

For Mains Examination

• The Mains Exam of the JPSC Combined Civil Service will be held for 3 Hours.
• The Mains Exam is the Descriptive Type Exam.
• The JPSC Combined Civil Service Mains Exam contains six compulsory papers, in that Paper – I is for 100 marks, Paper-II is for 150 marks, and the remaining all four papers are for 200 marks.
